Looks great Bill, as we say in the construction biz...looks fine, nail it! :D
Tell the little one we all said Happy B-Day!!:)

Hey Kenny, Thanks, the misaligned stripes are killing me I got to get it lined up my is OCD kicking in with this one

Hey Vert, I actually want to get the Wrangler done before hunting season but I don't know if that's going to happen. Right now I have the Sea Gem on the front lawn, the 72 Cruiser in the backyard along with a Grand Am that I doing an engine on for a customer.

I think if I started swapping the chassis on the jeep on the property I would turn into a Jeff Foxworthy one liner LOL.

Hey Vegas,

Jo-Ann has a limited supply when it comes to the feet. They do carry a zipper foot but you have to go to a real sewing place to get the piping foot.

I am hoping the rain lets up today so I can try to align the seats when I get back from the city.

Re: The R?surrection of the SeaGem

Hey fauxmeister,
Thanks bud, it does look 100x better but my wife was teasing me that it looked like a bowling bag, then she said it looked like an old car . Now she is trying to make amends by saying old is new LOL.

Hey Kev,
Yep I am sure happy with the price tag. Marine Vinyl, upholstery thread, Plywood, and all cost me a whopping total of $168.00 :D
There are a few Boo Boo's from my kids shaking my arm when I was sewing, but hey it gives it character lol

Hey T.C.
I'm taking orders if you need some seat lol ;) Funny story my wife who has never been on the boat asked " this is one long seat???" LOL There is so much room on the deck of that boat between the 8'beam and all you can do an Irish jig on her :D.
I have to say the $100 initial investment for the boat was the BEST money I ever spent

Re: The R?surrection of the SeaGem

wow Bill the seating looks 1,000 X better now that you re did em...BRAVO! hey do ya have any pics of the teak you're restoring????????

and I just realized after looking back a few pages on some pics...your center storage compartment on the deck is in-accessable due to the probably custom installed pilot seat box cooler and the stove/sink/fridge box.....whats ini that big ol stoage bin on the floor anyways? migjht be somoe gold bars if yer lucky....lol...mebbe some skis or lifejackets etc....

I might be tempted to ditch that stove/sink box all together and go with a pedestal seat only...open up some more room on the deck for fishing and such...? you can always bring a camping stove for overnights or hot crab, mebbe fab up a tilt up table off the port side gunnel...?

dunno....lots of options! Im sure whatever you do it will be great!

Hey Bill,
Tell the little one Happy B-day.
Thanks for the HB for my brother too. He has been gone for many years now, but I still remember.
As for The OCD, I think I remember, birds of a feather, :D:D
The boat seats look great, I always say at 60 mph who will notice.:p
Have fun on the water for the party.
Bob

P.S. Congrats on the job.

You should be. It looks better than 80% of the DIY jobs I've seen.

Hi EZ,

ONLY 80% of the DIY jobs?...................... Now I'm insulted LOL Just Messing with ya bud, Thanks. It would have come out much better if the kids weren't driving me nuts while I was doing it

Hi Vegas,
That center hatch on the deck has the 70 gal fuel tank under it. No room for anything else but it was a good thought.

Hey Bob,
Sorry about your brother I didn't realize it when you posted it was his birthday.

Well we went out today Caity absolutely loved it once we pased the no wake zone and hit the sound Here is a video

I am glad you guys are all enjoying the Sea-Gem after all the work you put in to it. Watching that makes me want to get out there and just go for a cruise.

Re: The R?surrection of the SeaGem

thanks Everyone,

Beating the waves was an understatement for today, I got my teeth rattled a little LOL I've been in worse but never with the family on board.

Ok, I have one more video for everyone its actually one of my favorites. Caity is dancing to the spin doctors lol. the only problem is it was shot in portrait. Those with laptops can just stand it on end. I am trying to rotate it so far to no avail

EDIT- I got it rotated :)
