Give a woman a sun pad, and the next thing she asks for is a bimini, 'cus its too hot in the sun. Then she wants a convertible top with side curtains.

Amen. Sunpad. meh. I have carried hundreds of people, probably mostly female, around in small boats in my life time and never once has anyone looked for, asked about or wanted a "sunpad." I doubt my salty women would even know what one is. If you want to lay around, stay home. But I can assure you they have tans--good healthy working tans.
And I've never had a boat with a "swim platform" although I like a ski step--they tuck in nicely beside the outboard. All you need is 18", what am I supposed to do with the other 7 feet? Sit on it? Like a sunpad? Bor-ing.
So is all your boating day geared toward just sitting still? On my waters, you'd bounce off a sun pad or roll off a swim platform while underway. I guess since we can't run out of lake, we're always underway.
