1984 gmc 2wd pickup truck. 4.1L inline 6, auto with shortbed ------ pulling a 1984 sportcraft center console 20' with 225hp omc sea drive. total package weighs estimated 4000 pounds<br /><br />and yes, both the boat AND the truck are paid for! and even the A/C works !!!!<br /> SUCKERS!!!! how are those truck and boat payments !!!!!!!???????!!!!??!?!?!?!<br /><br /><br />

2001 dodge ram 1500 with FI 360 and towing package. doesnt even know the boat is there. Same truck I use to tow my 28' RV.

Allright no snickering and no laughing or other snide comments from you truck people. I pull my 17.5' runabout with a 115 Evinrude with my Acura Integra GSR 5-speed. I don't go very far, just to a couple of local boat ramps, no out of town trips. Besides the obvious increased wear and tear on the car and compromised braking at speed the biggest problem is that if the car isn't on a level surface I need a jack to put up the wheelstand on the front of the trailer. Its never failed to pull the boat from the water although it sometimes looks like the NHRA Gatornationals with the tire smoke. But hey I can't afford to buy a vehicle just to tow my boat to the ramp and I prefer the GSR to a truck.

1989 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 litre six, 4 wheel drive. Tows 1500 lbs. up a 2 mile 17 % grade with no problem.

2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 litre Quad-cab. Bighorn edition with heavy duty alternator, tranny and powersteering cooler, LSD rearend with 3.92 gears, and Rancho 9000x adjustable shocks.<br /><br />It easily tows a 1997 Baja Islander 180 with a 5.7 litre merc.<br /><br />Yes, the thang's got a Hemi...too bad the boat doesn't.

2000 Chevy Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab 4X4 5.3L<br />2000 Chevy Suburban LT Z71 4X4 5.3L<br /><br />Both have GPS, XM, CB, UHF, VHF, 800MHz Trunked, heated leather seats...wish the boat did some days...Love them both for towing...burban towed 15,000(burban and trailer,a little over wieght) from upstate NY to New Orleans and back. and still managed 11.8 MPG..side note found out when got to NOLA that boss had packed it with a little over 5000lbs more than i had. he did this while I was fueling up before trip...sneaky Bas**rd...was pissed but already there by then...

99 f-350, 7.3 powerstroke, 6sp, 4 door, DRW, 4.10's. Pulls the boat, 5th wheel, horse, hauls the hay. 230,000 miles and climbing.

03 F250 Super Duty, Super Cab, Long Bed, 4X4 V-10 EOD Automatic 4.33 posi. tow rating 12,500 lbs,40 gal Gas tank. The low fuel light comes on at 1/4 tank.
