    cover prop for winter?

Agree. Drive trimmed down and cover the prop. Yes, it's better to remove the drive. My boat is in my garage, so no way water can get into the prop area. I also keep my trailer supported. I use jack stands under the trailer frame just in case the tires go flat. I don't want my skeg hitting...

    Top speed

I get up to 45+ in my 18 foot bow rider and it scares me to go any faster. I usually throttle down at that point. And I only do that once in a while when the lake is smooth as glass. Everyone wants to go faster. They go through great lengths, money and labor only to squeeze out just an extra...

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I do the same thing when I don't park in the garage.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

Yep, that was my first thought. Then I saw the sensor device.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I thought I'd mention I also use an inexpensive sensor device that has two sensors and a bright red LED display that's mounted to the back wall of the garage. It displays the measurement between the vehicle and the wall. When pulling in, it flashes at the previous measurement I was parked at. I...

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

Yeah, you would think in a big unionized city like NY things like that wouldn't happen.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

You know... that's a good idea! And I just had to replace one in the house! Duh! It's service life had ended. Should have bought an additional one for the garage! Double Duh!

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

Ha! Good for you! My Silverado is a bit tight in there to do that since it shares the garage with the boat.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I understand the accident safety point. I prefer to exit my driveway forward as verses backward. I get that. Maybe I'm paranoid because I've been exposed to carbon monoxide more than once on the job. I can never forget the two incidents. I was working high on a lift installing light...

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I'm kind of surprised at the answers I'm getting from you guys. No insult, just surprised. I really thought you would all agree with me. I guess I'm just being over cautious or even paranoid! I asked the question because I regard you all as very knowledgeable.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

So your door between the house and garage closes automatically. Thats interesting. So that is code now. Makes sense. My house is 25 years old, so it doesn't do that.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

If I were to back in, by the time I maneuver my Silverado into my garage next to my boat, I would think the garage would be unnecessarily exposed to exhaust fumes. I would thing it would be best to keep the tail pipe out toward the open garage door.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

Yeah, but with the company vehicle, are you backing it into a garage that is attached to a building that's occupied?

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I never run it. Just start and pull out. But just doing that, if backed in, wouldn't that expose my house to exhaust fumes? Especially during startup when it's running a bit rich. Or no? I always back in if just parking in the driveway. It's more convenient, perhaps safer when pulling out. I...

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

I have a two car attached garage and I always park straight in, I never back in. My reason is because I don't want to expose my house to exhaust fumes. If I drive in forward, the tail pipe is facing out and the same thing goes for when i start it. My next door neighbors back their vehicles in...

Uhgg...a windshield. ..it's always something... I've had a few done over the years. Good thing is the installs were always good, never any distortions or leaks. Just use a reputable installer. The last time, they did it right in my driveway. Pretty cool.

With the price of used cars these days and the fact that you know your car and you love it, I would fix it, especially if it's a mere $200. Dang, even if it were $500, it would still seem to be worth it. If you buy a used car, you just don't know what you're getting. A stick shift story...

Advice on trimming out this door

I once had the same problem, but it was a finished room so I had to make it look decent. I framed around it and drywalled it to meet the new door. One side met with a corner, so you can't tell. I made a step in the drywall (with a corner bead) on the other side so I wouldn't have to reframe...

    Newbie looking for advice

I see pontoons blasting around and even pulling skiers and tubers all the time. As I said, they are very popular boats at the 13 mile long lake Wallenpaupack here in northeastern Pennsylvania. They are virtually a back yard patio on the water. Plus, there's no bilge, no area to fill with...

    Newbie looking for advice

With the amount of passengers you are planning to have, I would seriously consider a pontoon boat. They are very spacious. It's like having your backyard patio on the water. Pontoons are no longer considered "old people's" boats. They are very popular where I boat at in northeastern...
