    Lower unit deteriorated on Johnson

Looks like the zebra mussels have been scraped off -- combination of electrolysis and zebra mussels, I'd say. Actual erosion (holes) would be electrolysis. Keep the lower tilted out of the water when in the slip.

    Flywheel movement

My old 85 would wake up the neighborhood on muffs. In the water, there was nothing more at idle than a faint clicking sound. I think you may be describing a feature.

Evinrude 7.5hp E8RCSS Low power at high throttle settings

The high speed jet is a likely culprit. It's screwed into the underside of the tube that runs from the carb bowl to the top of the carb. If you remove the carb from the motor and drop the bowl, you will see the brass jet. Spray it out with carb spray, using the plastic nozzle. You should see...

    2003 Johnson 90hp 2-Stroke Stator & Regulator Rectifier Issues

Think I would take the regulator/rectifier in and have it checked. Sounds to me like a regulator issue.

    2003 Johnson 90hp 2-Stroke Stator & Regulator Rectifier Issues

If your motor has a water-cooled regulator/rectifier, make sure your cooling system is in top shape. Replace the impeller if that is due.

    1991 Evinrude 60hp VRO - Won't Idle

I believe your carbs have the air mix adjustment needle up at the top. If so, you might try opening each needle about 1/8 turn and see if the engine will idle/troll better when warmed up. Continue if no improvement, but remember how far you adjust (counter clockwise is richer -- more gas)...

    Not permitted

Don't think you can properly post that request here David, but you might look for a Garelik manual lift assist while looking for a t.and t. to fit. They work well.

    Rpms on evinrude 115

Never tried this, but maybe a drywall screw or two into the hub would expand it enough to get through the holiday fun. (!) That assumes you don't have time to get into a prop shop and buy a replacement/get yours repaired, or borrow a prop from a buddy who is not boating this weekend.

93 Johnson 25, driveshaft reinstall, springs back up?

Been there too. Study in hydraulic pressure, I guess -- also a reason not to add grease to the top of the driveshaft, rather than just the splines. Thanks for the note.

1986 90HP Crossflow Johnson - RPMs increase at WOT when steering

Perhaps changing the trim. Might also be a good time to be sure the transom is solid.

    Poor Idle Evinrude E50TSLECC

I continue to believe that disassembly and soaking in solvent remains the best first step in cleaning a carb -- based on similar experience to that described by the OP.

    1978 Johnson 70HP head scratcher

Might remove screw plug on the front of each carb bowl, and blow some carb cleaner through each of the h.s. jets in behind the plug.

    Flywheel movement

^^Might retorque the flywheel, just in case. thread has been around here as long as I have -- might be instructional: https://forums.iboats.com/threads/noise-in-flywheel-loose-bearing.138139/

    18hp evinrude lower end

best stand for working on the gearcase is probably a workmate of whatever vintage. Drained gearcase and lower unit clamped upside down for easy access. Pinion pin comes out for removal of the lower part of the "clamshell".

    60 Johnson overheating

What is the operating temp? Check surface temp at the top of the head -- best with an infrared tester.

1987 Evinrude 88 SPL Ticking Noise

would be a good idea to resurface the heads if you haven't done that already -- maybe end of the season if it's running well now. If the bolt torque from the shop was all halter skelter, might be more warping than usually occurs. Maybe something to do in the Spring (can probably reuse the...

Evinrude 70 hp 3-cyl 2stroke dies at high throttle

Measured on an open air tester (not the inline variety), a strong ignition on your motor should easily produce a 3/8-1/2 inch spark.
