And...stands are fun to make. Make it big enough to accommodate a big plastic trash can so you can test and tune at bit at home.

    Need help with 1994 50HP Evinrude E50TLERE

I believe you are to plug the oil line at the motor, not cut it. After plugging the oil line, you disconnect the VRO wire harness. Connect a fresh portable tank with 50:1 mix. Based on your statement that the motor was running, all of the actions you took (carbs, link and sync, etc.) may not...

    81 Evinrude E150TRLCIA

sounds good. That reference to two cap vents -- running a single tank, maybe dual tanks with a switch? If an internal tank, always a possibility of water contamination.

Evinrude 33hp ski twin running poorly

Yes. Try cleaning and resetting points (.020). The incoming fuel line looks like it could have a crimp -- might check that. Plug wires reversed?

71’ 25hp Johnson still rough running

If it may be running hot, you don't want to run the bejeebers out of it. Infrared testers are pretty cheap these days. Motor should operate under 160F at the top of the head. (normal temp usually 120-140F, but can vary)

    leaking Johnson carburetor

What did you do to correct the warped bowl? Step one is to assume it's warped. I use the steel surface of my table saw to check -- like resurfacing a cylinder head, rotate the mating surface in a figure 8 pattern on a piece of wet/dry sandpaper until it is flush on the hard surface.

Then you can presumably check that off the list. Point is to do/redo each system with a manual in front of you.

I would start here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193686065796?hash=item2d1896d284:g:AcMAAOSwNXZfcQQX Start with water pump replacement, and read the instructions thoroughly. Complete the work. Then move to the magneto/ignition, and do the same. Review your two threads in light of the details...

No power to start motor or tilt on 48 hp Johnson

Step one is to clean all connections until shiny bright (sandpaper). Start with the battery cables at the battery and see if that alone gets you going.

While you are troubleshooting, disconnect that stop button (risks shorting a coil). It's a ground so tape off the wire ends.

    1976 Johnson 25hp Lean condition

I usually don't remove the jets either, as they are easily damaged. It sounds like you have it covered. Might be able to very carefully fish out the bearing with a piece of wire. The fool things often come out with the needle, so maybe try fitting the needle in again to see if it backs out...

    1976 Johnson 25hp Lean condition

There is a flexible "needle valve bearing" at the point of the l.s. needle valve. If a second one was put in from the kit (i.i., two in place), the mixture needle cannot be properly adjusted. When you soaked the carb, did you fully open it up? (domed fitting on top and screw plug (h.s. jet...
