    i know in some circles this is frowned upon ,however i do it all the time without any repercussions. disconnect the battery terminal when the motor is running , if motor stalls that usually means there is a rectifier / regulator gone or the alternator / generator is gone..

    have you dipped the fuel tank or recently filled the tank to ensure there is enough fuel in it.. i would run a external 10 liter tank ( outboard tank) directly to the fuel pump inlet before further diagnostics continue.
