    You have 2 diodes (item 16), check them to see if they are connected and working. A diode will pass current in one direction but not another. If you have a diode scale on your meter shift to it to test.

    Ball goes inside hole, then lower part slides up inside inside so it keeps ball inside. The end of the ball should be some kind of stud which attaches to steering arm on motor Here is a similar one

    I don't see any adjustment, this should be spring loaded and since the hole is not up inside with the slot. Think you need new cables
