Making a kicker motor steering addition

Yes, I use a small 2.2 hp gas for foward thrust, locked straight ahead. Then my 55 lb thrust trolling motor has autopilot and remote steering so I can pay attention to my rods and fish. Troller is controlled by a remote hanging around my neck. Works great....can tell it what course to take or...

With a great deal of difficulty.......why they do that makes no sense to me...I guess that is why most boats go to a transom mount

    Part Identification

From what I can see, it appears you have somevserious corrosion issues on that tank. I would drain and remove it, if it were my boat...does not appear to be safe, fuel leaks and fires do not go well in boats !!!!

    Bimini top advice needed

They are easy to set up and down in my opinion, never had an issue. Foldvthem back and slip on a boot and it all stays nice and neat. Boot takes longer to install than folding the bimini !! Now, with that said....if you do a lot of standing, then they are great, but if you sit a lot, the...

Are wheel locks the way to go?

Yes, but look at the quality of the locks, I could probably do that as well. I will put up a hondo if someone can pick my locks in less than 15 seconds !! Wont say it cant be picked, but it will take some serious tools that only a few crooks would carry. If youvwant good quality serious...

    Anti-Rattle solutions

The only issue for me is...I remove my draw bar after every outing, to much of a pain to go thru that each time I use my trailer. I prefer making the required adjustments to my hitch to stop the rattles....to each his own, but once I have mine fixed, just pull the pin or install the pin and go.

    1997 20HP Evinrude E20CREUM Owners manual?

Clymer nanuals can be pretty generic, much better details in a factory service manual !! If you need to get into serious repairs and adjustments the Clymer manuals wont do it......as far as the kill switch button...idle the engine, then push the button..it just kills the ignition when pushed.

New member here, not new to boats but never had to know the info I need now back then like I do now...LOL.

Beforevyou get involved in the engines, I would do a very thorough inspection of the sub structure. Things like transom, stringers and any other wood sub structure that may contain rotted wood. Due to the boats age and appearance of poor care, there is a high probability of sub structure...
