    step one... open clean/shine redo any connections associated with power distribution to the trim motor. the cleaner the junctions the more amps will flow to the motor and back via the ground. voltage without amps = no much going down below if you trim motor is relay...

    1- you need the manual to service your engine tech lights are one thing there are four on the EMM you need to consult you should get yourself the diagnostic software to check fault codes or have a dealer plug in and give you a report after lights off on the tach that engine...

    does it work ? try running it with a good cleaner like Merc Power tune or Evinrude engine cleaner. some folks like Seafoam some don't tried a different pressure meter seems the short ones are better compared to the long hose attached meters

    compare old points rub arm length with the new points not certain but I seem to recall some points have short rub arm ans some are longer make certain you have the proper part # for your engine model
