    sounds like the T&T motor does not run when told to go down. if polatity does not reverse but relay clicks swap relays if plug in type to see if trouble becomes a NO UP instead of a no down problem if that is the result..... relay is defective if same result (no down) check...

    did anybody remove... and insert this bolt ???? it holds the shift lever which would have to be realigned . tricky but doable . is this a new problem or a new to you engine that came with the problem. folks sometimes remove that bolt for an oil change :-(

    what is it with spark plug $$$$

    My engine needed permagaps. (recommended anyway) would it work ok with conventional plugs... maybe... I don't know so I went permagaps at 4/20$ on Amazon. Lot cheaper than Champions at 15 $ each .

    part #15 see video metering around minute 7:05...... old style carbs used pointy needles to adjust fuel supply... these needed to be fine tuned manually. the jets (orifices) are calibrated and non-adjustable.

    and... btw EMM on ETEC are known to be sensive to RF generated when openly testing sparks on sparkplugs...instead of the recommend in-line spark testers that said seeing your jumping sparks in the video !! they are surely strong RF noise generators possibly messing up the EMM...

    if you have confirmation that a EMM is needed they can be repaired. how did you conlude the EMM was at fault ? what is even more critical is knowning why it blew ! Flaky b+ from loose battery posts , wing nuts, intermittent B+ from the PDP, even loose fuses etc... are all...

    ETECs... can't say if I changed them once maybe twice in 18 years and not because I had problems just because I fugured they should not have lasted so long :-) ... i'll lok them up just to get ready for the big shock thankfully I have a I3 .

    so what is going on with spark plug$$ some kits go for 35$/8pack l 78v permagaps 16$ cdn each ???
