Replacing in-line fuel filter on 5.7L MPI

Oh no not a 0 (note zero and not letter O) M36xxxx, someone might figure out who owns the motor USCG requirements says no glass or plastic in the engine room. Same goes filters with drains like Racor, see thru or other types, must be sealed WIX 33481 or Hlley 162-563, but personally I would...

Replacing in-line fuel filter on 5.7L MPI

Yes that is a glass inline filter and is not legal for I/O or inboard What is your motor serial number?

    Runs bad.

TPS showing 5V, first make sure your seeing the wiper side and not the reference side. Ref side will be 5V, wiper side going to ECM should be .5V or so. If reading correct pin then look for bad ground

    Chartplotter/FF Wire size

GG its a CP with a 3 A fuse, meaning it draws most likely 1/2 that full time.

    Chartplotter/FF Wire size

Then IMO with respect you don't want to know The wire listing Garmin indicates is based on main feed for everything, and it will be connected at the fuse block. A chart plotter has maybe a 2 or 3 amp fuse and a straight feed from Bat wouldn't need anymore then maybe 18 AWG. Look at the wire...

VP 5.0 GXi-G spark plug corrosion

Right side facing the bow at the stern is starboard, other side port (left) You have an I/O so the front of the motor faces the bow. If you had a V-drive (inboard) the front of the motor would face the stern. Everything is referenced from the orientation of the boat, not the motor

    5.0 GXi-G fuel pressure regulator

For the most part, could be. Spec list 50-60 psi and don't know how accurate your gauge is. It it is accurate then its a tad high, but won't be an issue if it lowers to 60 once started

    2001 Vista 268 Battery Switch

The diagram doesn't show the windless, it was an option but not shown You said the end of the wire in mp pic listed as going to the windless is cut? If it is it does make since why it would be cut unless the windless was removed, is it still there?

That wire should go go directly to the windless or windless control box. Most cases the control box (relays) will be close to the windless

    2001 Vista 268 Battery Switch

Your correct, but I would suggest connect all large Bat grounds direct to engine block. Should have a stud on the rear of bell housing to connect. Then connect smaller 10AWG wire from block up to where they connect now. The way it is now will work Don't know which motor you have but suggest a...

What would happen if an engine died on plane?

With gas it would slow down coughing sort of, settle down and water would slap against the stern but that would be it. It would happen faster if lets say the kill switch was pulled, but same thing. Only worry is if anyone went flying forward with it stopping fast
