    Mercruiser Thunderbolt ignition Question

With it only doing when cold I would let it go and not bother with it. The good thing about the 2 Rev's is it has times to build a bit of oil pressure before starting

    20 Member family Vacation

Have been unable for years to get the kids/G kids and now GG kids together. Starting to run short on time. Would like to find something that can draw them in, spend 20K or so to get them all together at least once. If I can get it done once should be easier maybe the next time Never wanted...

    Mercruiser Thunderbolt ignition Question

Not sure about a 2010 TBV but the old ones didn't have a delay. When I start my MPI and its cold, the ECM has it crank over about 2 full revolutions befoe it will start. When warm it doesn't even turn over 1/2 a Rev before firing up Could be, its built into the system. I don't know, just an idea

    Mercruiser Thunderbolt ignition Question

Look at the module inside the distributor and see if it has 2 wires or 3. If it has 2 wires, it might be worth getting the replacement 3 wire version. The 2 wire type has a grounding issue

    Circa 2008 4.3 GXi (SX-A) Possible to increase power/performance?

Has another thread with same subject (against rules) https://forums.iboats.com/threads/have-14x19-4-blade-on-4-3-gxi-upgrade-to-stainless-steel-worthwhile.759171/

Have 14x19 4 blade on 4.3 GXi. Upgrade to Stainless Steel worthwhile?

Pulling skiers you need to get the RPM up fast. A 4 blade prop bits more so there is less slip, getting more slip out of the hole will help. Try a 3 blade 21 (same as 4 blade 19) because it will slip more on the hole. If you want to flat pull someone up, try a 3 blade 19 and go easy pulling...

4.3 TKS "Run On" fixed but Slight Loss in Performance

.045 gap to .060 ignites all the gas faster, that's why plugs installed are colder

4.3 TKS "Run On" fixed but Slight Loss in Performance

Lowering the idle rpm is what fixed the run-on Everything else you did hurt performance

Slow plane at high altitude 5.0L MPI, please help

Really don't want to get into the 3, 4 5 blade argument that always happens. My point is a 4B 18 is equivalent to a 3B 20. Going to a 3B 17 drops it down to just the 17. To do the same thing with a 4B you would need a 4B 15
