    If you have a Tach, disconnect the Gray wire on the negative side of the coil. If the Tach shorts out it won't start, so disconnect to make sure this is causing the issue

    I'm just guessing, but not knowing exactly what type of controls you have. Mine used 2 large rocker switches which were DPDT type. It could be that inside the switch is where the problem is. At any rate need to troubleshoot to find out

    Don't know to much about the VP CAT cooling system, but Merc uses what's called pop-it valves in the raw water side. The valves cause lost of issues for Merc. Does your motor have something like that?

    Unsure but check the voltage that it is high, also check that the Hertz is at 60 If the motor RPM is not correct this could cause the issue

    Don't know the motor, would need to look it up No smoke would mean maybe injection pump, throttle linkage or in short the cylinders are not getting enough fuel. Not enough fuel turbo doesn't spin up
