    What to use for stator insulation?

    So guys I am about to re-wind my stator, which uses 20 gauge magnet wire. The plastic insulation has gotten very hot and melted in places. What can I use to re-insulate the core against the wire before re-winding?

    Hey guys I am trying to remove the distributor from '67 Merc 650. The pulley for the timing belt is stuck onto the shaft. How do I go about removing it. I am replacing the trigger assembly and am trying to be delicate in doing so.

    Fuel sealant on carb fuel fittings.

    Guys the manufacturer says to use some type of Permetex fuel sealant. All the permetex that I have says not to use in contact with fuel. Anything I can buy at my local lowes that will work, or can I use thread locker?

    Can I remedy this stator assembly?

    Just wondering, resistance-wise she tests out good, but looks fried on two poles. Can I just recoat the two poles to prevent a short to block? All the wires are intact, I just dont see spending $200 if everything is working fine. Only reason I saw it was a routine timing belt job.
