    Hong Kong made 3.3hp with tank or 4hp ??? what is your model # most 4hp seems to have a pump / ext. tank already whereas the 3.3hp is e/w an integral tank

    remove the water tube from the lower end (pump grommet) with the LU out take a flashlight and look up the into the engine and try to insert the water tube in the PH (put some grease on the tube to aid insertion in the top ) rotate the tube to line it up with the pump grommet...

    Certain it is a TN26..... ?? .my understanding is that magnetos with those coils started with TN27 which I have one in the shed... (make certain coils line up on the base edge (see picture) I purchased it years ago BECAUSE it had standard coils like you have there T(X) experts will chime in

    yes pump must be FULLY immersed to pull in water... did you just do all this on a hose/muufs ?? Stationary operation of engine with garden hose ear muffs on keep RPMs low on muffs or in a deep bucket

    strange conclusion ... a bad plug is a bad plug maybe the plug boot connection was oxydized a bit and cleared up while reconnecting. I would be on the lookout for a return of the bug :-)

    start by comparing the ohms value of the good coil (boot to engine frame) if identical suspect coil is likely OK if suspect coil checks out as OPEN (infinity) start by simply twisting the plug boot , wire and coil end connection RETEST boot to engine frame If OPEN (infinity)...
