    Easier yet, remove the switch. No boat I have ever owned has had one and I have never had an issue. Recent upgrade to a 24v trolling motor was a nonissue because the boat and trolling motor have always been completely separate. Fish finders and Talon have always been on my start battery.

    Yeah, have to stay within CG limits. Landing gear has a lot to do with gross weight. Many aircraft can’t land as heavy as they can takeoff and fly with without risking damage.

    There is power only for a moment when first turning on the key. If the connector at the VST is dead when the key is turned on then I would backtrack that until I found power. It could also be a bad ground.

    What tells the pump to pump? It should cycle when the key is turned on and I would assume constantly while the engine is running but I don’t know what controls it. I can’t remember if I can turn it on with the YDS.

    A bad prop or a bent shaft can make it shake bad enough to put a motor into limp mode. Of course, the prop needs to be spinning for that.

    I don’t think I have ever run one that hard without the prop spinning. Losing power at higher rpm is generally a fuel restriction. Most commonly a fuel filter that needs changed. But could be elsewhere or even a failing fuel pump. As far as the shake… no clue unless it just the exhaust gases...

    I would use a no slip paint or paint additive. Wing walk compound for airplanes works pretty good. Much better than tapes if the surface is properly prepared.

    Over Voltage Condition

    Cleaning the contacts is always a good first step. You can also use your digital volt meter at the gauge to see if the voltage drop is in the harness or the gauge.
