    Ignition Troubleshooting - 1978 700

can you get into the switch box ? is there a circuit board you can see ? . Im just thinking that by the way you describe your diagnosis it sounds like the switch box is 3 separate switches /circuits and thusly you have two good ones to compare against the bad one .... may be a single...

    Wood stove install

I dunno so much about log burners , but when I was running the show I had two gas fitters installing gas fires and one thing I learnt is that you cant take to much heat out of the flue otherwise the flow aint so good ....the exhaust being cooler . Im pretty sure the more heat lost out of the...

    Wood stove install

Yeah we got told that but our logburner has been installed since 2014 and has not yet had the flue cleaned ........we only burn dry wood and/or coal . If you burn wet wood ...not rain wet but freshly cut wood then you will get a build up of creosote and that not only clogs the flue but...

    No tach,no charging

shame you got a faulty one , and a spare is a cheapish bit for piece of mind . Probly the biggest issue for these things is heat . You could change the mounting if the thing is bolted to something hot like the cylinder block . I have previously mounted the reg/rect on a bit of ally sheet using...

They have...
