    Docking with twin I/Os

Re: Docking with twin I/Os That is simply a screen print on the face of the tach. In fact, are you certain that it's a prop on the tach face and not a simply drawing of a piston to indicate RPM? Look at the attached pic and see how the props mirror each other side-by-side. Notice how the...

    June 6, 1944

Let's not forget that this is the anniversary of the Utah/Omaha beach (among others) invasion. D-Day was a huge turning point in WWII and the American and allied forces paid a significant price in the cost of human lives to change the tide of war. These are our fathers, grandfathers, uncles...

How to wire a on-off-on lighted rocker switch

Re: How to wire a on-off-on lighted rocker switch No. There would be a separate (7th) terminal for the ground. It's would usually be the terminal that's somewhat 'apart' from the other 6.

    wiring

Re: wiring The stern light is a standard 3 prong socket (if that's what you have). One prong is for the 12v+ feed from the helm switch in NAV mode. One prong is the 12v+ feed from the helm switch in ANCH mode. One prong is for the 12v- ground.

I am an anchor and line noob....

Re: I am an anchor and line noob.... Please reread: Braided rope is NOT anchor rope. You want 3 strand twisted rope because it stretches...the woven/braided do not stretch! Braided/woven is used for mooring lines, tow lines, and utility lines. Twisted rope (3/8") has a working tensile...

    Ohhhhh. Jeopardy screwed up.

Re: Ohhhhh. Jeopardy screwed up. As one of the 2 people reporting in from Florida, I can tell you that there are black bears all over the state, including my front yard once or twice. Here is their range of habitat: The typical Fl blackbear is an omnivore and routinely eats animal matter...

    Bilge Pump Question

Re: Bilge Pump Question The brown and brown/white are power feeds from the battery and from the helm switch to the pump. The black is a ground. Use a test light to find out which one has power going to it (hot all the time). That is the wire that goes to the float switch, then to the pump. The...

Battery Issues on 96' SeaDoo GTX

Re: Battery Issues on 96' SeaDoo GTX I used a standard cutoff switch from an auto parts store. They are water proof and it's basically an on/off. It's hooked to the 12v+ cable and simply disconnects the 12v+ lead. A solar charger is basically useless on a ski. For it to create enough milliamps...

Black marks on clear vinyl from bimini supports

Re: Black marks on clear vinyl from bimini supports The brownish coloring you get is actually burning on the eisenglass from the aluminum tubing getting hot in the sun. If it's black staining that comes off, then it's usually just dirt. The burned areas on the eisenglass don't come off. Use the...
