No, Jim is Canadian. You know the guys that don't plan on sending the SOTY plaque south any time soon. :eek::D
Carp, now IM will check the poll threads & there will be NO TALKING to him w/ out his big ole cranium getting in the way. Better annex an extra few SqFt to the boat shed, so IM can even get in there & work now :faint2: :facepalm:

He will have to beg the Admiral to take down some flowers and wreaths to even have room to put up the plaque if he wins it!!!!! :D

OOOOoooo, nice one Glen:boink::boink::boink:

I didn't even hack on him about how, in his video, he kept getting whapped by those flowers when he was trying to flip his boat over. So good on ya!:thumb:

Not to worry, those man cards are way overrated....every time i offer to take a guy who has one fishing, he wimps out when he hears where we take a 12' boat.........."No way, dude, that's too DANGEROUS, i'm going to go watch football on the TV instead...." :lol:

Re: 1960's Falcon Rebuild (New Title)

Ok... it really is a bowectomy....

But.... it's temporary!

Ya see, I am going to change the lines of the boat slightly, not going to use the original rub rail and because I am cedar stripping the top AND the floor, I wanted to be able do this as easily and best that I could --- meaning easy access for the floor and custom for the topside (bow and gunwales and stern)..... oh ya, also changing where the dash is going to be located... moving that a little sternwards. More on that in a moment.

I will be putting a portable tank (10 gal) in the front ---- so I needed to move the dash rearwards to give me some leg room. Also the new dash is going to be a little higher as I am a tall bloak!

The original dash will be staying --- it's good structure. Incidentally, half of the bow supports were rotted badly anyway... thus the complete bowectomy.

The stern is getting a nice curved (think barrelback) treatment with a curved small splashwell to allow the motor to tilt upwards some. The back rest of the back seat will be higher than the current gunwales --- as will the gunwales on the sides....

A little inspiration to all my fellow builders out there....!

Yup.... he watches over, offers advice... unfortunately, I never take it! :behindsofa:

Cattails... ya... had to add a little something to the arrangement! :embarassed:

Ok... boat is cleaned up and ready for Gluvit. Gonna take a little break from boat building for a couple of weeks --- family and work commitments. After that though, I'll get rolling....

Have a great Saturday fellas!
