Little late now but you'll have the info for next time. Splash clips significantly reduce the mess.

Dam the bad luck. U know & I was thinking of using laundry pins.

Well heres one for you. With the timing light I set #1 to 6` degrees, right. But out of curiousity I went checked all cylinders and they all showing 6' at the pulley! I would think that Cylinder 2 would be at a diffrent degree and so on and so on. But all of them at right at 6? Am I missing something here? That threw me off.

Are you saying that no mater which plug wire you hook your light to it shows the same * on the timing mark when the engine running?

Is there more than one mark on the balancer? You might have to take a video of that. I don't see how it is possible.

Always late to the party..dang. Congrats Azlo, she is sounding sweet my friend. See what a little cussing, a bit of electrocution and a lot of love can do? Now to make the two sections whole again and splash her...well,...get to it man!!!!;)

Alright, installed my flywheel & cover. Needed to get in the tin this week end to see what obstacles would arise.

Looking good so far, had to remove the starter twice but everything fits very tight. Maybe the paint.

Now that I have it nested I have more space in the garage. very motivating.

While i was installing it, I was also installing the exhaust tube. It tore, so now I have order a new one. So I didnt tigten everything just yet. I went ahead and started to install my custom bow braces though. One thing im very reliefed of is that my huge pump did not interfear with the engine. :p As a matter of fact there is enough space for another 4000 gph pump.

Hey AZ,

That is the WORST looking motor install I have ever seen. I think you need to take it out, and start all over. We would not want to set such a bad example for the newbies here on iBoats.:p

Seriously, All I can say is WOW!!!!! You have done one fantastic job from the very start. Your talents are exemplary! You have done yourslef PROUD. Thanks for all the great pics and sharing along the way.

All these good comments got me pumped so I started on my dash. Went ahead and installed some switches and gauges to see how it looks.

It seems I will have to recut the dash since the new helm is a bit larger and the bezel that came with it interfears with the gauges.

It would be nice to see our old pal North Beach pop up - I have his email maybe I'll give him a bump. I know he is sawing off some other stuff right now - but bottom line if Azlo get's this in the water this year - I have a feeling where the 2011 Stramada Splash of the Year is going to end up.....NB is going to have to cough it up!!
