Re: Man vs. Boat (season 1).
I may not be able to see the pics but I can read the progress just fine.
Thanks for sharing everyone. I learn more every week from iboats and threads like this really teach us newbies how things work and the right way to repair them.
Thanks Ricohman... Iboats is a great resource. I would be completely lost without all these wonderful folks showing interest in my build and helping me along.
Your plywood is sending you a subliminal message saying that your transom should stay curved, hahaha, hehehe.
That's funny.... You are the great protector of the curved transom... It's still going to be curved (just not as much as before).
Hey guys:
Went out to the shop twice this weekend, but managed to get very little done.
Since the cold snap sort of interfered with fiber-glassing, I did a lot of measuring, thinking, planning…. Also, got suckered into starting the go-kart project, which took about 4 hours of my time….
Did pick up a few little items this week:
This is my vintage 1977 mercruiser racing belt buckle… I am going to incorporate it into the build as a medallion of sorts… Either on/near the switch panel or maybe on the dog house…
Also, look who has already stolen my mercruiser shirt that came along with it….
Got a little to do list in mind (measure/cut stringers; layer of 1708 the inner transom; finish grinding/sanding the outside transom), so hope to sneak out there mid-week again.
Got some video that I upload tomorrow or the next day, but it's mostly just me talking out loud about plans, thoughts, measurements, etc... stay tuned.
