Can I use slightly longer push rods than stock on 454 Gen V?

Under normal conditions, of a hydraulic lifter, a 1/6 variation is not an issue. The lifter them selves have more lee way then a 1/16

Mercrusier 350 MAG MPI - RPM issue under a load

Note quotes "It's said to get Max efficiency" due to the skage and housing, that said I don't see it. Use to do it, but got tired of it so I don't now and have not noticed any difference

Temp heat switch wire is connected to my temp sender?

OK, your motor could be either one piece manifold, or manifold with end caps, and none have a temp switch only temp sender. I would disconnect the Ten/Blue and tap it. You could install a NPT Tee and install both

07 5.7 mpi separating coolant fitting

Ya know if the drain side of the fitting is clogged, then there will be water pressure above the check ball but not as much below. If it wasn't clogged then pressure above and below would be about the same Remove the lower end hose from the fitting (drain side) and blow air thru it. Maybe...

another crank / no start thread

OBD scanner won't work, need a TechMate Pro or Diacom software from rinda.com Oil pressure switch has nothing to do with the fuel pumps turning on/off on a MPI motor, only works with carb motors. Do check the fuses for the main power relay and fuel pump. I noticed when you first started...

    Volvo V6-280-M Beeping

Going to need the motor scanned to find out. It may be overheating even though the gauges reads lower. The gauge and PCM do not use the same sensor. Can use a IR Temp gun to verify the thermostat housing reads same as gauge. If it does the PCM sensor may be off or other things. Just no way...

Temp heat switch wire is connected to my temp sender?

Someone moved it would be a guess. Don't know your serial number but both the switch and sender should be real close to one another on the thermostat housing

07 5.7 mpi separating coolant fitting

First law of hydraulics is, pressure exerted on a confined liquid is transmitted with equal force on all areas. So pressure on one side is exactly the same as the other. To prove, move that one to the other side and see if it still pops same side

07 5.7 mpi separating coolant fitting

It should not pop off. The pump might produce 30 psi at the most at high rpm, and that shouldn't cause the issue You have a 3 point drain system, so things are both fill and drain Pic is for 4.3 but works the same. Color scheme Green drain, Red raw water, Blue bypass when thermostat is closed

07 5.7 mpi separating coolant fitting

ok It is a check ball and has 2 functions Keep water from passing up into the manifold when boat is running Drain water out during winterization The check valve I posted is there to help keep the mans full once the motor stops. Yours should not just pop open when running. It should take a...
