    Remove a cylinder head and inspect cylinder walls.----Compression values are too low.------Way too much mechanical noise in my opinion.

    Yes there are 2 fuses shown in the parts book.----Is the one fuse a spare ?----Ready to be used after fixing the reason a fuse blows.

    Open low speed mixture screw 1/4 turn and test again.-----Or after initial cold start use 1/2 choke / primer on cold starting.

    You have to pull the flywheel.------Points need cleaning or coils are cracked / burned through shorted to ground.-----Note exact position of coils.----Then take out screws and look at bottom of the coils.----Very simple magneto.-=-----Lots of info on-----leroysramblings-----All you need to know...

    Can the newer hex headed drain plugs be used for the vent plugs?

    The hex head ones look nice.----But not as durable as the slotted ones in my opinion.-----They need to be tightened correctly to last for years and years !

    Evinrude V4 120GT Looper Mixture Screw Settings

    The electric primer is a valve.----It is NOT a pump!!----It gets fuel pressure from the fuel pump.-----That fuel is sprayed into the engine when key is pushed in while cranking it over for cold starting.-----What other trouble shooting was done to try and find one cylinder that might be lean.
