Re: 1964 Starcraft Jet - Rebuild
Alrighty fellas... got some forward motion!! So my Dad and I build what can best be described as a boat dolly. With the Jupiter the 3 individual dollies I had with tiny wheels worked... well... poorly to say the least. So using a bunch of scrap wood I had lying around and the old bunks off of one my boat trailers, 3 new 5" rubber locking swivel wheels we conjuered up this:
The front piece looks cockeyed --- but it isn't... just looks funny in the photo!
Worked brilliantly... loaded up the Jet in 3 minutes... and parked her in the garage for a long winter's re-build!
It may not look like it in the photo's but there is a ton more room in the shop/garage now.... I can easily walk around the boat and it is a snap to move it. Just gotta get the cabinet finished and back up north and then it is boat time.
We also carried the Falcon into the backyard and put it up behind the garage... it was a tight fit between the garage and the house as it actually rubbed both going through... but it is up there. Only split one stitch doing all the work! So not bad really!!
Have a great weekend fellas!!
