Got a little more done the past couple days. Got the rubrail on, need to pick up a little more hardware for that. Got the bilge and splash-well drains drilled and epoxied, I ended up epoxying a plastic pipe in the bilge drain, and the garbord drain will seal into that leaving no exposed wood!! Now just have to sand out a few areas on the hull I just filled with some fiberglass reinforced filler, seeing that I am not painting the boat, should I at least prime the repaired areas? and with what?
Prime and paint it with some Rattle can Rustoleum. It'll seal it until your ready to do the hull.

It is water proof but prime and paint will make it blend in a little better.

Ya that's what I was thinking, the exterior really don't look great anyway, and you wont even see the repairs since they are on the bottom of the hull. Someone did a crappy job painting the boat sometime in its past life, it really needs to be stripped and repainted.

Well, got a few things done this past few days. Made a mount for the controls out of Starboard, got it all mounted. Got the fuel filter and lines run and mounted, finished patching priming a a quick coat of paint on the transom. So tomorrow will screw and 5200 the garboard drain in, then mount the outboard, then need to drill a hole in the side of the hull for the bilge pump through hull. Once that's all done, I'll paint the bilge, glue in the bilge pump and float switch, then paint out the deck, screw in the seats, hopefully the motor still runs! LOL, I redid the carbs and tstats, head gaskets on it last year. Hopefully nothing has gumed up the carbs after sitting for 10 months. Then if all is well, hit the LAKE!!!!!!!!

Thanks! If all goes well, I'm thinking 2 weeks at most, and I'll be done. Heck give me a good couple sold days and I'll be finished. I was shooting for the end of June, but now I think I'll beat that!

This is what I hope to be doing soon! I'm happy to just drive the boat, and make the kids happy, but I too like going for a tube ride! I went Knee-boarding last year too, for the first time in probably close to 20 years. What sparked all of this getting a boat and all. I took the kids to the lake to go swimming, and some guy there with his kids tubing, offered us a ride, he had a 3 man tube like the one I have now, my kids and I went on, and saw how much fun that they had, I started looking for a boat.

This was last year with the boat.

Well, getting allot done today! Kids are in school, no interruptions, a guy can really get allot of work done. Got the outboard on and all hooked up and running!!!! It gave me a little trouble with overheating?? Don't know why, been sitting for 10 months, maybe the tstats were sticky?? All good with that now though, got the thru-hull installed for the bilge pump, got the first coat of bilge coat on, just going to run to Home Depot for a small paint tray so I can get the first coat of Interdeck on the deck, will get that done today as well.

Worked fine for me.....just a heads up though, although it seemed to be pumping fine you didnt have that lower unit deep enough in the drink, you really want the pump to be submerged when running in a tank like that.....

Sorry here it is again. Don't youtube vids embed here?

Got the deck painted out today as well, used Interdeck, and for the hull sides, just got some paint from Home Depot, I went with a lighter gray on the hull sides. Still need to paint up on the inside of the bow.
